Meet the guys of CHoSen. They answered some questions that will help you get to know them a little better.   

Brett
1. What are your hobbies/interests?
-Strength training, being outdoors, working with my hands especially stone work

2. Name a unique talent that you have other than play or singing music.
-I have been known to play the piano with my nose.

3. What are a few highlights of your life?
-Receiving my diploma from Penn State University, getting married to my wife and the birth of my three children.

4. What was the year, make, and model of the very first car you ever owned? What did you name it?
-I did not own a vehicle until I was married at age 24; it was a little, red Ford Escort hatchback.  I drove it up until  Christmas day 2007, when I hit a deer.  That car was great! I could haul all of the band equipment and just about anything else.  The amazing part was that it had over 250,000 miles on the original motor.

5. When did you first begin to play an instrument, and what was it? Name all the instruments you can play.
-I played the drums up until I was a freshmen in high school and the piano until I was a sophomore.  Now I just play the guitar.  I would like to learn the harmonica.

6. Favorite movie?
-Back to the Future – Part 1
-Any Clint Eastwood cowboy movies, Pale Rider, Hang ‘em High, The Good The Bad and The Ugly

7. If you were on a deserted island and you could only take three items, what would they be?
-Of course flint, a big hunting knife, and some type of fish netting.

8. What is your favorite sports team or player?
-Philadelphia Eagles and the Pittsburgh Pirates.  I do not really follow the NBA.  I really enjoy watching both the winter and summer Olympics.  It’s something about seeing all the athletes competing for just the sake of the competition.

9. Favorite foods:
-Favorite dessert:  Salsa and chips
-Favorite restaurant:  The Olive Garden
-Favorite fast food:  Chick Fil’ A
-Favorite food:  Spaghetti and meatballs when I can eat it.

10. What is your favorite activity to do with your family?
-I love going to, as my kids call it, the “little beach”, Whipple Dam state park in PA.  I also enjoy riding my bike with them.

11. What is currently in your CD player/mp3 player?
-Disciple

12.  Favorite television program, and what makes it your favorite?
-NCIS – The characters and their quirkiness.  I like the NCIS marathons that run on different cable network stations.

13. If you could travel back in time, to what time period would you go?
-Back to the wild, wild west

14. What is the best advice you’ve ever given and received?
-Never go to bed angry.  Always deal with the issue even if it’s past your bedtime, no matter what time!

-Blogging, Reading, especially philosophy, theology, apologetics

2. Name a unique talent that you have other than play or singing.
-Fixing computers and doing voice imitations

3. What are few highlights of your life?
-Getting married, getting an MA in apologetics, seeing new friends come to the Lord

-’89 Chevy Cavalier, sorry no name

-Guitar, after college

-Star Wars

-Bible, guitar, Mere Christianity by CS Lewis

-Jay Cutler

-Favorite desert:  Cherry pie

-Hunting

-Tie between NCIS and the Closer – crime scene stuff mixed w/ comedy

-The Reformation

-Be where you’re supposed to be, do what you’re supposed to do.

-Hunting and reading.

2. Name a unique talent that you have other than play or singing.
-Teaching young people to play baseball..

3. What are few highlights of your life?
-My family and my walk with Christ.

4. What was the year, make, and model of the very first car you ever owned?
-1961 Mercury Comet.

5. When did you first begin to play an instrument, and what was it?
-9 years old clarinet.

6. Favorite movie?
-Bring It On or The Notebook

7. If you were on a deserted island and you could only take three items, what would they be?
-Bandanna, Knife

8. Who is your favorite sports team or player?
-Penn State Football and wrestling.

9. Favorite foods:
-Lemon chiffon cake.
-My own kitchen and bar-b-que
-O.I.P cheese steaks.
-My own bar-b-que pork and chicken, and just about anything my wife makes.

10. What is your activity to do with your family?
-Just spend time with them.

-Neil Diamond

12. What is your favorite television program, and what makes it your favorite?
-College football.

13. If you could travel back in time, to what time period would you go?
-1700’s to explore this great country.

14. What is the best advice you’ve ever given and received?
-Everything you do in life has an effect on someone else, so try to affect someone else in a positive way.
